Atul Kochhar
What Atul says…
“I worked with Vogue Kitchens to design my home kitchen, I saw their work and it was absolutely top class. They designed my whole kitchen virtually and showed how it would look to walk through the space. I was super impressed, there was professionalism throughout and it didn’t take me long to appoint them to design my kitchen.
I work as a professional chef and with my work instincts, I know what I need and where things should be, like the ovens or where I store my spices. I explained this to the team at Vogue Kitchens and they were superb in understanding my needs as a client.
Vogue had great ideas about how I should go about choosing my Gaggenau appliances. I always love a good combination of energy source, so I went with both gas and induction hobs. On the back units I have 4 ovens, but they all have different functions which helps tremendously.
I love black and orange, I’ve used those colours when designing my menus, designing my restaurants and uniforms for my staff. I didn’t have to ask about incorporating orange into my kitchen, when I was shown the kitchen design, those colours were already embedded and I though ‘this is me'.
Visiting our client, Two-Michelin-Starred Chef, Atul Kochhar at his home kitchen we designed a few years ago and still looking great. This kitchen was designed using luxury embossed silk matt finished doors, featuring a rich horizontal textured lacquer in the colour-ways, Mohair & Basalt Grey from Leicht.
The 50mm thick Antique Brown polished-granite worktop is a natural beauty, luxurious yet practical and extremely durable. With a chocolate brown-base featuring a crackled appearance, it’s differing grades of brown pearls provides a natural sheen.
Atul’s kitchen uses Gaggenau appliances throughout, with two built in ovens that feature 17 heating methods, core temperature probe, rotisserie spit and baking stone functions. A Combi-microwave oven, a Combi-steam oven, Vario hob with single gas, dual gas and induction, dishwasher, tall fridge, freezer and wine cooler.
A striking tangerine toughened glass splash-back was chosen as one of Atul’s favourite and signature colours.
